How we source and check what we publish
Disha Stars is the career guidance service of Amar Ujala. This page explains where our information comes from, how it is checked, what has not been checked yet and how to tell us about a mistake.

Who is responsible
This website is published by Disha Stars by Amar Ujala. You can reach the team by email at supports@dishastars.com, by phone on 9720002890 or at C-21, Sector-59, Noida, UP. All contact details are on the contact page.
Where our information comes from
- College directory. Register listings come from official registers: UGC, NIRF 2025, AICTE, NMC, PCI, AISHE, UGC-2F, DCI, COA, NCHMCT, NCH and VCI. The methodology page explains how they are built. Register data as of 6 October 2026.
- Verified college profiles. These come from the Disha Stars college directory and go through the checks described on the methodology page.
- Disha Edge tools. Careers, board syllabi, entrance exams and work activities cite a shared list of 285 sources: 228 are official (regulators, school boards, exam bodies and government departments) and 57 are secondary. Each record lists its own sources and the date they were last checked.
What the verification labels mean
Every Disha Edge record is marked with one of three verification states. The tools add a note where details are unconfirmed and list every source in the Sources panel.
- Verified against an official source: the facts were checked against the official document named in the record.
- Verified against a secondary source: no official document was available, so a named secondary source was used.
- Needs verification: not every fact has been confirmed against the latest official notice yet. Open the official link before you act on a date, fee or eligibility rule.

How content is reviewed
Disha Edge content was prepared with the help of AI tools. Independent AI reviewers then checked it in three ways: facts against the cited sources, teaching quality (whether explanations, worked examples and practice suit the class level) and language in English and Hindi.
Not done yet: review by human subject experts and human review of the Hindi text. We will update this page when it happens.
Career Reality Check activities are original, fictional work simulations. The scenario data is made up for practice and is not a real instruction, eligibility rule or job offer.
What Disha Edge does not do
- It does not show salary figures.
- It does not predict ranks, scores or your chances of admission.
- It does not recommend specific colleges. College search and counselling are separate, and the choice is yours.

College facts are shown with their source and date. Some colleges are Disha admission partners; the admission partners page explains what that badge means and where it affects the order of results.
