The National Testing Agency is closing the online registration and fee payment window for UGC NET December 2026 today, 31 October, at 11:50 PM. Eligible candidates can submit their forms online at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Registration Window Closes Today
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is concluding the online application process for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2026 today, 31 October. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can submit their application forms on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, until 11:50 PM. The deadline to pay the examination fee is also 11:50 PM tonight. By Friday, more than 9.60 lakh candidates had registered, and over 7.91 lakh candidates had successfully paid the examination fee. The exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes across 87 subjects.

Application Fee Details
Candidates must pay the exam fee through online mode according to their category. An additional late fee of ₹500 is applicable for candidates applying between 29 and 31 October.
