The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2027 syllabus for students preparing for admission to engineering colleges. The examination opens admission to courses such as BE, BTech, BArch, and BPlanning. Candidates can check and download the syllabus PDF by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
No Changes Compared to Last Year
There are no changes made to the JEE Main 2027 syllabus compared to last year. The subjects, units, and prescribed topics included in 2026 have been retained this year as well. There are a total of 54 units across Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for students appearing for the BE and BTech examination.

The syllabus outlines specific units and subjects for all three sections:
- Mathematics (14 Units): Sets, relations, and functions; complex numbers; quadratic equations; matrices; determinants; permutations and combinations; binomial theorem; sequences and series; limits, continuity, and differentiability; integrals; differential equations; coordinate geometry; three-dimensional geometry; vector algebra; statistics; probability; and trigonometry.
- Physics (20 Units): Motion, laws of motion, work, energy, power, rotational motion, gravitation, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics, modern physics, and practical-related knowledge.
- Chemistry (20 Units): Atomic structure, chemical bonding, chemical thermodynamics, solutions, equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, classification of elements, organic chemistry, and biomolecules.
Exam Pattern for BArch and BPlanning
There will be separate question papers for admission to BArch and BPlanning in JEE Main 2027:
- BArch (Paper 2A): Includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test.
- BPlanning (Paper 2B): Includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning-related questions.
